Oracle R12 Payment Setup Document



How to create a Payment Process Request Template



Note: The template created in the XML Publisher Administrator will not be visible in the Use Templates section of the Payment Process Request. It has to be created using the Payment Process request Templates. The steps to get the payment Process Request Templates are given below.



Follow the below mentioned steps to create a Payment Process Request Template


Navigation: Payables Manager à Payments à Entry à Payments Manager







This will open a Self Service Page




Click on the Templates Tab of the Self Service Page







This will open the Templates Page in the Payments Manager.







Click on the Create Button








Specify the Details as below

 

Name: Valid User Defined Name

Description: User Description

User: <Login User Name> (Automatic/Read only)

 

In the Scheduled Payments tab, some of the values are defaulted. If required set all the values as required.  Click on the Payment Attributes Tab





Enter the details for


  1. Disbursement Bank Account
  2. Payment Document (optional)
  3. Payment Process Profile
  4. Payment Exchange Rate Type
All the details in other tabs are optional. Click on the Apply Button at the end. This will create the Payment Process Request Template.







How to Submit a Payment Process Request




Follow the below mentioned steps to submit a payment Process Request


Navigation: Payables Manager à Payments à Entry à Payments Manager



This will open a Self Service Page

In the Home tab of the Self Service Page that opens click on the Submit Single Payment Process Request. This will open the below shown screen (Self Service Page)




Enter the details for


  1. Payment Process Request Name (Required)
  2. Use Template.
    1. This template is NOT the same as the template created in the XML Publisher Administrator. This template will have to be created using the Payment Process Request Template explained in the pages1,2,3 above.
  3. In the Payment Attributes Tab of the page, enter the following.  All the below mentioned values are auto populated once the Template is selected. These details are already entered when creating the Payment Process Request Template. The details are mentioned here as the user has the ability to change them to different values.
    1. Payment Date
    2. Disbursement Bank Account
    3. Payment Document
    4. Payment Process Profile
    5. Payment Exchange Rate Type.








Screen shot that shows that these values were defined for the Template SWGTESTCHK. This is just for information purpose. This is not required to be done when trying to submit a new Payment Process Request.



Click on the Submit button and it will create a Request ID that can be checked in the View Requests of the Oracle applications.





How to Create a Payment Process Profile

Follow the below mentioned steps to create a Payment Process Profile

Navigation: Payables Manager à Setup à Payment à Payment Administrator



This will open a Self Service Page


Follow the navigation below to get to payment process profiles

Payments Setup à Funds Disbursement Setup à Payment Process Profiles



Click on the Go to Task




Click on the Create Button. This will open a Different Screen as shown



Enter the details for

  1. Code (Payment Process Profile Identifier)
  2. Name (Payment Process Profile Name)
  3. Description
  4. Payment Instruction Format (This should already be existing in the system)
  5. Maximum Documents Per Payment (Valid number > 0)
  6. Processing Type (Select from Electronic, Payment Card, Printed)
  7. If electronic is selected as the processing type then Electronic Processing Channel (select from list), Payment completion point (select from List).
  8. All other values can be null/default.
  9. If the Processing type is selected as Printed, then the options would be different. Like for Printed processing type, the Payment File can be any one of Send to Printer, Send to File. Select the appropriate Processing type for the Payment Process profile.
    Click on the Apply button.


How to Create a Payment Instruction Format


Follow the below mentioned steps to create a Payment Process Request Template

Navigation: Payables Manager à Setupà Payment à Payment Administrator
This will open a Self Service Page



Get to Payment Formats in the below mentioned screen


Navigation:  Payments Setup à Shared Setup à Formats à Click on the Go to Task



This will open a new Screen as shown below

In the Search Screen, Select Type as Disbursement Payment Instruction” and click on the Create button



Enter valid Code, Name.
Select data Extract as “Oracle Payments Funds Disbursement Payment Instruction Extract, Version 1.0”
 
Enter the XML template name (Created in the Page 1 of this document)
Click on the Apply button.
